Please contact our clinic manager for more detail regarding consultation fees. Fees will be slightly different depending on the type of appointment.
The JLS Psychiatry administrator will ask you to pay the total amount for the appointment on the day of your consultation. You can claim your Medicare rebate after your session and receive your refund directly to your bank account (minus the gap fee) if you have registered your bank details with Medicare (via your MyGov account).
For Telehealth appointments, patients are asked to confirm with Medicare directly that their location is eligible for a Medicare Rebate.
Please contact Medicare (132 150) if you need more detailed information regarding your Medicare benefits
When your referral is received, the clinic manager will contact you to arrange an appointment. If you wish to, you can have your name added to the list of people waiting for cancellations. Cancellations are allocated on a first to respond basis.
Cancellation fees:
To avoid incurring a cancellation fee, please provide at least two business days’ notice of any cancellation. Cancellation fees do not attract a Medicare rebate and must be paid in full prior to your next appointment.
Cancellations with less than two business days’ notice will incur a fee of $150 for new patients and $100 for those already receiving care.
A full cancellation fee (equivalent to the full consultation cost) will apply if you cancel your appointment on the same day or do not attend it.
